Just Fink About It

Inspired by conversations throughout the years, especially with the "Core," I've decided to begin writing a column (not really a blog). The "Core" are 4 guys I grew up with and my best friends. We go way back so you may notice bantering and even verbal abuse going on but that's normal. After mulling over a name I've decided on one influenced by my lovely wife. After all the initial thoughts will be mine and I would encourage you to consider my perspective. Let the journey begin!

Black Monday

Which NFL coaches should be fired in your opinion? Here's my list in no particular order...

1. Chan Gailey 15-33 in 3 seasons with Buffalo
2. Romeo Crennel 4-15 in just over 1 season with Kansas City
3. Norv Turner 55-41 in 6 seasons with San Diego
4. Jim Schwartz 22-42 in 4 seasons with Detroit

Obviously my list is smaller than what will actually happen but I can't go against the likes of Andy Reid, Ken Whisenhunt, or even Pat Shurmur. As a one time head coach, albeit high school, I tend to side with the coach. I'd like to know your thoughts.

Andy Reid is done, so is Norv Turner, and Chann Gailey. Other than that I'm not sure.

1. Norv Turner has got to go because they have the talent but suck.

2. Jim Schwartz should not be a head coach of anything. Maybe he should go into the WWF because that is the culture he has created in Detroit.

I am sorry I do not get the College Playoff blogs. May be you could call me and explain. As far as the NFL coaches, I think you are right except for Turner. The bottom line though is that these four are all secondary markets. They will only make it big with luck because there is not enough money to push them there. Sorry, the dollar wins again.
